Beagle Freedom Project's Mission

Rescue. Rehab. Repeat.

Beagle Freedom Project is a non-profit animal rescue and advocacy organization and the world’s leading organization for rescuing and rehoming animals used in experimental research. BFP is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of animals used in testing and research and subjected to other forms of unique cruelty, abuse and neglect. BFP strives to end this cruelty through its educational programs, campaign initiatives and lobbying efforts to make the world a better, safer and healthier place for both animals and people alike.

Since 2010 the charity has been freeing survivors from laboratory experiments, senior and special needs animals from shelters, and victims of horrific abuse from around the world.

No matter what the condition, the location, or the expense, Beagle Freedom Project stands at the ready to rescue, rehabilitate, and repeat.

Tails of Freedom

Joy

I love using Whistle for our fur baby, Joy. She loves other animals and can be like Houdini when it comes to getting out of her collar. I have peace of mind when we are outside that I can track her should she get away from me. I also love checking her activity when I’m at work to see what she’s up to. Thank you for providing options for us to keep our babies safe.

Asher

Our Beagle Freedom Project rescue Asher spent 4 years in a laboratory where he lost his audible voice. Since Asher cannot bark or cry for help it is essential we protect him the best we can should he get lost outside. His Whistle Go gives him that important layer of protection and gives us peace of mind that we're doing everything possible to keep our sweetheart safe.

Charlotte

Whistle gives me the security to know that if Charlotte sneaks out the door or gets out of the fenced yard, I will be able to track her location. She's quick and scares easily so I've had to put Whistle to use a couple of times. Whistle was able to track her exact location for a quick recovery.

Scrappy

Our sweet little Scrappy was rescued from Mexico in December 2017. I’ve never had to actually track her but she’s run off several times since we’ve had her and I’ve been able to catch her before she went too far but it gives me so much peace of mind to know that if needed I could find her before she got far away. This was even more important when we moved to a new home last year. So glad to have Whistle.

Teddy

We use whistle on our rescue, Teddy. At first we started using it because we weren't sure if he would be a flight risk or not in a new environment. We quickly came to realize he was quite mellow and probably would not run. However, when we got him, he was quite a bit overweight. So, we really love that we can track his activity and set goals for him. Getting the reminders in the evening to help him to reach his goals has been a great help! Since tracking his activity and adjusting his diet, he has lost over 3 lbs so far! Thanks to Whistle for the peace of mind on always knowing where he is and for helping him to stay healthy.
